Train the pattern before you sit the exam

Pattern Trainer

Ten original questions. Don't just find the right answer, find the shape of it: student-centered, data-driven, collaborative, vision-aligned. The rationale after each one names the pattern.

That was the free ten. The 268 Question Bank has 100+ more original questions with the same pattern-naming rationales, and the workbook has the full method and schedule.

Brain Dump Gym

The single highest-leverage habit in the whole system. Start the timer, write all four CRQ frameworks from memory, no peeking. When time's up, check yourself against the frames.

10:00
CRQ 11. ONE high-leverage practice needing improvement (pacing, rigor alignment, or explicit instruction) + TWO pieces of evidence. 2. ONE aligned action step. 3. ONE probing question: 'How do you know that students...' 4. How the step and question work together for student learning.
CRQ 21. Improvement area one + evidence (exit ticket not aligned to TEKS rigor). 2. Improvement area two + evidence (pacing off). 3. Build the exemplar. 4. How coaching with it helps now and builds independence.
CRQ 31. What the data shows, with specifics. 2. Reflective questions to root cause. 3. Cite data sources: student work, surveys, articles. 4. How reflection changes the next instructional decision.
CRQ 41. Most pressing need + evidence, grounded in student achievement. 2. Recast the vision with all grade levels. 3. Plan: timeline, SMART goals, PD. 4. Monitor with walkthroughs; tie everything to student achievement.

Could you fill all four without stopping? When yes, you're ready. Until then: same time tomorrow.
